The Social Contribution Foundation (Chairman Chung Ki-hwan), established and operated by the Korea Racing Authority, will push for a project to support the vulnerable in order to play a social role as a public institution on the occasion of Chuseok, the national holiday.

Every year, the foundation has delivered agricultural and livestock products purchased from traditional markets to vulnerable people in areas where Korean Horse Association workplaces are located, such as Gwacheon, Jangsu, and Jeju, and this year, it selected Korean beef as a support item to help Korean beef farmers who are suffering from double trouble due to rising international grain prices and falling Korean beef prices, and to present abundant Chuseok to vulnerable people.

The targets and amount of support have also been greatly expanded, raising the number from 700 last year to 1,400 and from 40,000 won to 70,000 won, so that more people can benefit.

Chairman Chung Ki-hwan, who met with the Korean Beef Association (Chairman Min Kyung-cheon) in person and heard about the difficulties that Korean Beef farmers are experiencing recently, said, `Through this sharing activity, we will deliver a helping hand to Korean Beef farmers and vulnerable people who are in a difficult situation,' and added, `The Korean Horse Association will continue to take the lead in helping marginalized neighbors.'

The Korea Horse Association Social Contribution Foundation was established in 2014 by the Korea Horse Association and its executives and employees to promote the welfare of farming and fishing villages, and has been promoting various projects such as supporting national dream carts, horse welfare projects, social rides, scholarship halls, and youth orchestras in farming and fishing villages with donations of 6.7 billion won as of last year.
