An otter swarm attacked an exercise woman in a downtown park in Malaysia.

According to foreign media such as the Shinchu Daily, a woman jogging in Kota Kinabalu Fedana Park, a famous tourist destination in Malaysia, was attacked by an otter at around 6:30 a.m. on the 11th, and her whole body was covered in blood. The woman was bitten and scratched by a leg, arm and head.

Several citizens who ran after hearing the woman's scream were also injured while chasing an otter.

The woman, who was taken to the hospital, said she did not irritate the otter but was suddenly attacked.

Authorities are now temporarily closing the park and investigating why the otter acted aggressively and its habitat.

An official asked "Please keep a safe distance because if an otter is stimulated or threatened, it can turn aggressive."

Meanwhile, otters are also a legally protected species in Malaysia.
