Kim Min-ji of 'Single's Inferno Season 5' Reveals Her Home Address Was Exposed, Says She Moved After a Neighbor Kept Watching Which Floor She Lived On

[Sportschosun Jung Yu-na] Kim Min-ji of 'Single's Inferno Season 5' opened up about why she moved and the shocking incidents she recently experienced, drawing sympathy from viewers.

On the 11th, a video titled "Why is this happening to me...? I’ve decided to move after all" was uploaded to Kim Min-ji's YouTube channel.

In the video, Kim said, "I have something I really want to share with my subscribers because of this incident," adding, "I am now in a situation where I have to move, and the things I went through in the process left me traumatized. It was a frightening and difficult time."

She had previously shared her solo life after moving into a two-room apartment in Seoul.

Kim also recounted several incidents she faced soon after moving in. "Less than three weeks after I moved, the drain suddenly got clogged," she said. "At first, I thought it was my fault because it was a newly built officetel, but after calling a drain cleaning company, they found plastic clumps, construction coating sheets and limescale inside."

She continued, "The drain company said it might not be the tenant's responsibility, but the landlord said a lawyer had confirmed he was not obligated to pay. In the end, after the landlord spoke with the drain company, he agreed to cover only part of it. The total repair cost came to 350,000 won."

Kim also shocked viewers by revealing that her home had been exposed on a real estate platform. "My sister was looking at a real estate app, and on a listing for the same officetel posted by another agency, the description for a different unit said, 'The same place as Kim Min-ji from Single's Inferno.' That basically revealed where I live, didn't it? It was terrifying. I even told my company and asked them to have the listing taken down. In the end, I contacted a lawyer and asked, 'My home address has been exposed, and my full name is in the listing. Can I file a complaint?' After the lawyer prepared the relevant documents and submitted them to the real estate agency, the post was taken down that same day," she said.

She also recalled an incident at the recycling area when a fire broke out. Even though a male resident seemed displeased, he repeatedly tried to film her. "I was going home when he followed me and my friends inside, but he didn't get on the elevator with us. At that moment, I thought, 'He's checking which floor I'm getting off on.' So I pressed a different floor and went up the stairs to my apartment," she said. "I'm the only one living on my floor. There are no CCTV cameras in the hallway. I'm very scared and having a hard time."

"If someone sees a listing with my name on it and tries to harm me, who is going to protect me? I feel completely drained. I developed trauma. My home no longer feels like a safe place. That's why I'm trying to move to another neighborhood," she said.

She ended by advising people who are starting to live on their own: "When signing a lease, communication with the landlord, whether there are CCTV cameras, and keeping records are all very important."
