[Sportschosun Jung Yu-na] Actor Sung Dong-il's son, Sung Joon, has drawn attention after revealing how much he has grown.
A video titled "Jun, welcome! Sung Dong-il's wish comes true. A drink with Jun~ (Does his real daughter Bin appear?!??)" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Yun Jumo, the brewer" on the 12th.
Sung Dong-il and Sung Joon appeared in the video, sharing a warm update while also opening up about feelings they had not spoken about before.
Yoon Jumo (chef Yoon Nara) warmly welcomed their visit, saying, "The child we used to adore on 'Dad! Where Are We Going?' has become a college student. Jun is already over 20 now. It is so exciting to see the little boy grow up and come to Yunjudang with his father for a drink."
Sung Dong-il and Sung Joon then appeared, and Sung Joon, now much taller and more mature, gave off a heartwarming impression. Sung Dong-il, who said, "I always dreamed of having a drink with Sung Joon," happily accepted Yoon Jumo's welcome drink and took a satisfied sip, saying, "This is a real setup drink." Yoon Jumo asked Sung Joon, "Do you have a girlfriend?" and Sung Joon replied, "No."
Sung Joon is currently a sophomore in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Hanyang University. Yoon Jumo praised him, saying, "Hanyang University's engineering school is really famous. You must have studied incredibly well. That's so impressive."
Sung Dong-il said of his son, "I'm so grateful that he grew up so well," and added, "I later found out that he actually did not like studying. I still wonder how he got into a science high school." Sung Joon explained, "I was really bad at memorizing things, but I did enjoy math calculations and things like that. There was also talk that if you go to a science high school, you can get into a good university. But more than that, I heard that students do experiments every year. It was not just simple classroom experiments. They said you plan an entire project, carry out the experiment more independently, and even write a paper. That is why I applied to a science high school." He continued, "I think that was the time I studied the hardest in my life. But once I got there, I only did experiments and did not study for my school grades, so I got in through an essay-based admission instead of using my grades."
Sung Joon, who entered university with excellent grades, also admitted that he received an F after enrolling. Sung Dong-il said, "In your first year of college, enjoy yourself as much as you want. I told him to call me anytime if he did not have money for drinks."
Sung Joon also surprised viewers by revealing that he holds two patents. He explained, "The first patent was filed with my academy teacher when I was in middle school. Since it is hard for people on crutches to go up stairs, we attached a small horseshoe-like support in front so they could lean on it and climb together. That was filed as a utility model." He added, "Later, in high school, I entered a competition with friends and filed a patent for installing navigation indicators and safety lights on the front of an electric scooter."
Sung Dong-il expressed his pride in his son, saying, "I am so happy that Jun is still growing," and added, "He is still thinking a lot about his future. He is also said to be studying psychology again, a field he has been interested in for a long time."
