[Sportschosun Jung Yu-na] Influencer Kim Ji-young, who appeared on "Heart Signal 4," opened up about her anxiety after being told there was a possibility of premature birth during her pregnancy.
On the 12th, a video titled "They say the birth could come much earlier than expected.." was uploaded to Kim Ji-young's YouTube channel.
In the video, Kim Ji-young visited an obstetrics and gynecology clinic for a routine prenatal checkup.
After reviewing the ultrasound, the doctor explained, "The baby is much lower than expected for this stage of pregnancy. The head has come down too far. Have you been exercising a lot?" He then advised her to cut back on exercise, saying, "The baby should not come out this early."
Kim Ji-young said she usually works out about four times a week. The doctor advised, "Do not exercise at all for the next two weeks, and only walk." He added that it would be better to reduce Pilates as well.
In particular, the doctor explained, "The baby needs to stay in the womb as long as possible." He added, "Even when the baby has moved down this much and the cervix length is still normal, premature birth can happen." He also noted, "The cervix has already started to shorten compared with before. From now on, the baby's weight could make it shorten even more."
Kim Ji-young then shared the changes she had felt in her body, saying, "I felt like everything was falling out below." The doctor responded, "That kind of feeling is not unreasonable."
Fortunately, the baby's growth was on track. The doctor said, "The baby is growing well according to the stage of pregnancy," and Kim Ji-young appeared relieved.
After returning home, Kim Ji-young said, "It may be different for everyone, but not being able to exercise is really so hard." She added, "I'm the kind of person who feels like blood is flowing from head to toe only when I work out, so being told not to exercise for two weeks is frustrating." She then admitted, "This is the first time since early pregnancy," expressing how stifled she felt.
She also confessed that because Poby, her baby's nickname, had been in a breech position, she had recently been doing movements during exercise that were meant to help the baby move downward. "Lately, while working out four times a week, I intentionally did a lot of movements to bring the baby down," she said. "And then the baby just dropped down all at once."
"The baby went down so much that our baby's head got stuck," she said, expressing both concern and affection. "Now the head is stuck and can't even move," she added with a smile, saying the baby was adorable. Kim Ji-young then said she would stop exercising for a healthy delivery, adding, "I should listen carefully to the doctor before any problems come up for no reason."
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-young married Yoon Soo-young, the founder of Trevari, South Korea's largest paid reading community, in February. She had originally planned to marry in April, but moved the wedding up after announcing her pregnancy. She received many congratulations after sharing the news of both her marriage and pregnancy.
