Ko Kang-yong Moves to a 1.5-Room Semi-Jeonse Home, Burdened by a 120 Million Won Loan: "I Spend 900,000 Won a Month"

[Sportschosun Reporter Jung Yu-na] Announcer Ko Kang-yong has left his studio apartment and moved into a new 1.5-room semi-jeonse home.

On the December 12 episode of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)'s "I Live Alone," Ko Kang-yong was shown moving out of his beloved studio apartment and into a new home.

In March, as his jeonse contract was nearing expiration, Ko Kang-yong had spent time searching for a new place. He announced the move, saying, "Today is the day I move to a new home." Having moved more than 10 times, he showed a relaxed attitude by starting to pack an hour before the moving truck arrived.

Ko Kang-yong took one last look around the studio apartment where he had built memories and grown attached, saying goodbye to every corner before stepping into his new home with excitement. He expressed satisfaction, proudly showing off the new place, which has a 1.5-room layout, a semi-jeonse arrangement, and even an elevator.

He then revealed the home price and loan size. He said, "The new home has a 200 million won deposit and a monthly rent of 150,000 won, and I took out a total loan of 120 million won. The bank loan interest is about 290,000 won a month, and the company loan repayment is about 600,000 won a month, so loan payments alone cost me around 900,000 won every month."

After hearing this, Kim Dae-ho said, "That is a lot. At that level, office workers have to tighten their belts to get by," expressing concern. Ko Kang-yong replied, "The MBC cafeteria is cheap. From now on, I plan to save money."
