[Sportschosun Jung Yoo-na] Actor Sung Dong-il's son, Sung Joon, shared an update after 11 years and spoke candidly about malicious comments targeting his appearance.
On the 12th, a video titled "Joon, welcome! Sung Dong-il's wish comes true. A drink with Joon~ (Is his real daughter Bin-i making an appearance?!??)" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Yun Jumo, the Soju Brewer."
Sung Dong-il and Sung Joon appeared in the video, and Sung Joon, now all grown up, drew warm reactions with his mature demeanor.
Appearing on camera for the first time in 11 years since Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)'s "Dad! Where Are We Going?," Sung Joon said honestly, "I first appeared on TV when I was really young. People remember Sung Joon as this very skinny, handsome kid, but when they see me now, they usually say, 'Oh, you're Joon.' There are things like that, whether people realize it or not."
He went on to comfort chef Yoon Nara, who was hurt by malicious comments after appearing on "Culinary Class Wars Season 2," saying, "Some people can laugh it off, but I think there are also people who think, 'He was on TV as a kid, so why doesn't he take care of his body?' But people who say things like that never get very far, so I think they leave hateful comments because of their inferiority complex."
Meanwhile, Sung Joon is currently a sophomore at Hanyang University, majoring in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He also surprised viewers by revealing that he holds two patents. "I filed my first patent with a private academy teacher when I was in middle school," he explained. "Then, after entering a science high school, I competed with friends and filed another patent."
