[Sportschosun Reporter Jung Yu-na] Young-sook from Season 32 of "I'm Solo" revealed a surprising past.
On the episode of SBS Plus and ENA's "I'm Solo" that aired on the 17th, the self-introductions of the Season 32 cast and the matching process for the divorced men’s first dates were shown.
Young-sook from Season 32 began by saying, "I was born in 1991, but because I started school early, I entered university in 2009. I graduated from Hanyang University Department of Vocal Music. After graduation, I continued working as a popera singer. But there are not that many popera stages, so I also worked as a freelance host to fill the gaps between performances."
She went on to say, "I was always big-bodied. Since popera is very visual, I lost a lot of weight. I did it over 10 years and have maintained it," adding, "I once weighed as much as 130 kg. I lost about 74 kg," which drew surprise.
Later, before-and-after photos of Young-sook were revealed, and her pre-weight-loss appearance, which was very different from how she looks now, drew attention. She said, "I still keep it off and work out."
Young-sook from Season 32 also spoke about her previous marriage, saying, "When COVID-19 began, performances suddenly stopped. I followed my ex-husband around for a long time. He worked in music, so I would help him get jobs and things like that. But it did not seem like we would get married. So I met his mother myself, set the date for the family meeting myself, and even booked the wedding hall myself."
She said she even quit her own job to support her ex-husband's work, and that they ended up living apart during the week to make a living. She then admitted, "We officially finalized our legal marriage last year."
