hy is expanding its brand lineup with the launch of a new spoonable Greek yogurt product, "Mechinikov Seongju Chamoe Greek Yogurt" (hereinafter, Chamoe Greek).

Chamoe Greek was developed to reflect the consumer trend of seeking seasonal ingredients. It uses raw chamoe melons from Seongju County in North Gyeongsang Province, bringing out the fruit's natural sweetness. Seongju is the country's largest chamoe-producing region, with abundant sunlight and large temperature differences between day and night, which help produce high-quality melons.

Another feature is its thick texture, achieved by aging domestically produced Grade 1A milk and separating the whey. The crisp melon pulp adds to the enjoyment of eating it. Each cup of 100 grams contains 10 grams of protein, offering nutritional benefits as well.

The new product will be pre-launched on Kakao Makers on the 29th and then sold through the company's online store, Fredit.

Kim Nam-soo, who oversees multi-marketing at hy, said, "Products made with seasonal ingredients are a great way to offer consumers new flavors and enjoyment." He added, "We will continue to make Mechnikov a brand that feels more familiar in everyday life through a wide range of product experiences."

Meanwhile, the Mechnikov brand has continued its growth since its relaunch in December last year, with seven product lines. Since the overhaul, it has recorded sales growth of about 10 percent and surpassed cumulative sales of 2.8 million units.
