[Sportschosun Reporter Baek Ji-eun] The group CORTIS has proven its incredible popularity.
Tickets for CORTIS's first tour, "Put Your Phone Down," sold out completely as soon as membership presales began on the 9th local time.
CORTIS had originally scheduled six shows for August 4 in Toronto, Canada; August 6 in New York, U.S.; August 8 in Atlanta; August 11 in Irving; August 13 in Los Angeles; and August 15 in San Francisco. But all tickets were gone through fan club presales alone, so the group added a San Francisco show on August 16 and will now hold 14 concerts across nine cities.
CORTIS is riding a wave of success at home and abroad with its 2nd mini album, "GREENGREEN." The title track, "REDRED," topped major domestic music charts including Melon and Bugs, and has also remained on Spotify's daily chart for 48 consecutive days. CORTIS reached as many as 12.33 million monthly listeners on Spotify as of May 31, with U.S. listeners making up the largest share. In fact, "GREENGREEN" entered Billboard 200, the main U.S. Billboard album chart, at No. 3 on May 23 and stayed on the chart for four straight weeks.
CORTIS will kick off its world tour at Inspire Arena in Incheon on July 18 and 19. It will also hold a debut anniversary concert at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul on August 22 and 23. The tour will conclude at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa, Japan, from September 4 to 6.
