[Sportschosun Reporter Jung Yoo-na] Actress Lee Min-jung shared an anecdote about meeting model-actor Byun Woo-seok at an event.
On the 23rd, a video titled "Rome Revisited After 20 Years. Lee Min-jung's First-Ever Liberation Trip" was uploaded to Lee Min-jung's YouTube channel.
During a conversation with the production team that day, Lee Min-jung recalled a conversation she had with Byun Woo-seok at a recent event she attended with her husband, Lee Byung-hun.
Lee Min-jung said, "What I talked about with Byun Woo-seok back then was this," adding, "My husband spotted a really huge ruby while watching the show. Even to us, it looked extremely large." She continued, "So I asked, 'How much would something like that cost?' and he said 10 billion won."
Lee Byung-hun then jokingly pretended to pull out his wallet from his pocket and said, "Please give me one or two of those," which reportedly made Byun Woo-seok burst out laughing.
Lee Min-jung said, "Byun Woo-seok was laughing so hard that I asked, 'Do you like this kind of joke even though you're younger?'" She added, "Then he said, 'Senior, you're so funny.' That's why he kept laughing."
She also clarified the various reactions some netizens had to the scene. Lee Min-jung said, "People said I turned my back on my brother-in-law and laughed with Byun Woo-seok, but that wasn't the case," explaining, "My husband was deliberately telling a funny story while keeping a straight face."
