Choi Su-ho proved the strength of his devoted fandom by taking first place in the May Gen-Z Star category of the Blue Dragon Ranking.
The May Gen-Z Star vote was more fiercely contested than ever. When voting closed, Choi Su-ho claimed the throne with a commanding 46.79 percent of the vote.
Trot prodigy Lee Su-yeon surged hard in the final stretch and mounted a strong challenge with 40.95 percent, but she could not overcome the late push from Choi Su-ho’s solid fandom, Subangsasa.
The final top rankings for the May Blue Dragon Ranking were Choi Su-ho in first place with 46.79 percent, Lee Su-yeon in second with 40.95 percent, and Jeong Dong-won in third with 5 percent.
Born in 2002, Choi Su-ho studied pansori and came from a traditional Korean music background. He first drew attention from viewers when he competed on TV Chosun’s "Mr. Trot 2: The Beginning of a New Legend" in 2022 and finished fifth overall.
He later appeared on Maeil Broadcasting Network (MBN)’s "King of Veteran Singers 2" in 2025, raising the bar with genre-spanning performances and finishing sixth overall. He has firmly established himself as a "national team trot singer" representing South Korea.
Choi Su-ho’s unstoppable rise is still going strong.
In January, he released the title track "Something Big Is Coming" from his second mini album, showcasing powerful EDM sounds and an energetic performance. In April, he won the main TOP 10 Award at the 2026 K-Trot Grand Awards (KTGA), further cementing his status as a next-generation trot star.
Choi Su-ho is currently meeting fans across the country through the joint national tour concert "Fly With" with singer Hwanhee.
After successfully wrapping up the Suwon show in May, he is set to perform in Goyang on June 13-14 and in Daegu on June 19-20. His strong ticket power is expected to continue for the time being.
With solid talent and unmatched star power, he continues to prove limitless growth on every stage, drawing close attention from the music industry to his next move.
