[Sportschosun Jung Yoo-na] Actress Kim Hye-soo warmed hearts by publicly cheering on her junior Kim Mu-yeol once again.
On the 11th, Kim Mu-yeol posted several photos from the set of 'Teach You a Lesson' on his social media account.
The photos drew attention as Kim Mu-yeol shared behind-the-scenes moments from filming, ranging from a thrilling rooftop action scene to a shot of him working out alone on the parallel bars.
Kim Hye-soo's supportive comment on the post also drew attention. After leaving three fire emojis on his post on the 8th, she showed even warmer support this time by leaving seven fire emojis. Kim Hye-soo had previously worked with Kim Mu-yeol and Lee Sung-min in the 2022 drama 'Juvenile Justice.'
Kim Mu-yeol's wife, Yoon Seung-ah, also showed her support with a heart emoji. The comment section was further brightened by dozens of replies such as "I love you, sister" and "I hope you are always happy."
Released on the 5th, the Netflix series 'Teach You a Lesson' follows the relentless work of the School Rights Protection Bureau, which stands on the victim's side and sets schools right. The show has continued its strong momentum, ranking No. 1 on Netflix's 'Today’s Top 10 Series in South Korea' just one day after its release.
In the series, Kim Mu-yeol plays Na Hwa-jin, an inspector at the School Rights Protection Bureau, delivering a powerful performance that spans emotional acting and intense action. He leaves a strong impression as the 'Hua Tuo of the School Rights Protection Bureau,' solving every problem in the story. By showing both a sly side and a serious inner depth, he heightened the drama's immersion and once again proved himself as an irreplaceable action actor.
Meanwhile, 'Teach You a Lesson' has been controversial since the production stage, with concerns raised from the original work itself over the glorification of school violence and corporal punishment, as well as racist and sexist perspectives.
In response, director Hong Jong-chan said at the production presentation, "We fully understand the concerns about the original work. We tried to create a good story with a refined perspective. We believe the original has its strengths. Rather than an exaggerated story, we tried to bring in stories that happen in real life."
