[Sportschosun Jeong Yu-na] Broadcaster Park Ji-yoon shared her affectionate feelings for her daughter, who is heading to the United States for six weeks of language study and training.
On the 18th, Park said, "It's only six weeks, right? It's the first time we've been apart for this long, so I may have made a bit of a fuss," speaking candidly about the mixed emotions of seeing her daughter off.
She added, "At first, I was so overwhelmed that it felt like she was taking my back with her, but even in the middle of all the chaos, she stays grounded and handles everything on her own. I feel like that's all thanks to my blessings, and I'm just grateful," expressing pride in how much her daughter has grown.
Park also showed her support with a brief message: "Have a safe trip, my daughter."
The video released along with the post showed her daughter packing her bags and heading to the airport for her trip to the United States. Before boarding the plane, she said goodbye to her mother, and Park responded with warm encouragement, creating a touching scene.
Park Ji-yoon's daughter reportedly graduated from the middle school program at Korea International School, Jeju Campus, last year and is now a high school student. She is said to be aiming for medical school.
Meanwhile, Park married Choi Dong-seok in 2009 and they have one son and one daughter. The couple split in 2023 and are currently in divorce proceedings. Park has custody and parental rights, while Choi meets the children through visitation.
