[Sportschosun Reporter Jo Yoon-sun] Kento Nagao, 24, a member of the popular idol group Naniwa Danshi, and Rio Inagaki, 28, a former member of the girl group E-girls, have been swept up in dating rumors.
On the 23rd, the Japanese media outlet Friday reported that it had spotted Nagao and Inagaki on a late-night date.
According to the report, the two had dinner alone late at night in early June, stopped by a convenience store, and then headed to a nearby bar. They later left separately at different times, got into a car waiting in front of the building, and the vehicle headed to Inagaki's home. The two then entered the building side by side.
Photos also showed the pair looking affectionate and behaving like a couple. Nagao kept his face hidden with a hat and mask, apparently mindful of people around him, while Inagaki drew attention by walking confidently with her face uncovered.
According to an acquaintance, the two first met at a bar in Tokyo's Minato Ward in early last year and became romantically involved around winter. In particular, Inagaki is said to have expressed her interest first. After they began dating, they reportedly did not hide the relationship, often going on double dates with friends and traveling together or visiting theme parks.
Dating rumors about the two were also reported on the 7th. After the report, an acquaintance of Inagaki said, "She has always preferred to be open about dating rather than hide it," adding, "Even after the report, she has not seemed too bothered and is taking it positively, feeling that she can now act more confidently."
Neither agency has issued any official statement regarding the dating rumors.
Meanwhile, Nagao began his entertainment career as a child actor at age 3 and debuted as a member of Naniwa Danshi in 2021. He later expanded into acting, appearing in TBS drama "The Ring Finger Offered to a King" and the NHK historical drama "What Will You Do, Ieyasu?" He also received praise for his sword-fighting action performance in the film "The Revenge of Kogibicho," which was released in February. Naniwa Danshi also held its first concert in Korea last year at Inspire Arena in Incheon.
Inagaki debuted with E-girls in 2012 and left the group in 2015. She later launched a fashion brand and is currently active as a YouTuber and model.
