[Sportschosun Lee Woo-joo] In JTBC's new reality entertainment show 'Love War,' a dating tell-all between Yuri and Kim Hee-chul, who have been close friends for 25 years, is set to draw attention.
JTBC's new variety show 'Love War,' which premieres today (the 23rd), is a dating reality program directed by Kwon Hae-bom and Park Eun-young. It follows relationship experts Lee Hyori, Seo Jang-hoon, and Kim Hee-chul as they decide whether couples on the verge of breaking up should stay together or split up amid a fierce battle.
As Girls' Generation's Yuri appears as the special diplomat for the first episode, the sharp banter between her and her 25-year friend Kim Hee-chul is expected to light up the studio. Kim Hee-chul, who knows Yuri's dating history better than anyone, suddenly turns on the charm and sparks a round of revelations.
Kim Hee-chul said, "I've never seen Yuri's ex-boyfriends bad-mouthing her," revealing behind-the-scenes dating stories only a true close friend would know and leaving Yuri visibly shaken. Yuri tried to act unfazed, saying, "Who are you talking about?" But Kim Hee-chul then added, with a meaningful expression, "That guy, that guy," as if referring to a specific person, making Yuri break into a sweat.
Yuri, however, is also a close friend who knows Kim Hee-chul's history inside out. She then gives a pointed look and says, "I'm also a living witness who has known everything since Hee-chul's trainee days." Lee Hyori then joins forces with Yuri and says, "Great! Let's strip Hee-chul bare today," hinting at a full-scale reveal of Kim Hee-chul's dating history and drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, Yuri also delivers blunt, realistic advice to the stories of a trainer boyfriend who works 17 hours a day and a freelance announcer girlfriend, saying, "Break up right now" and "If that's the case, just hire someone." It is also said that Yuri will play a major role by fully immersing herself in the clients' stories with her exceptional empathy.
As such, the unfiltered dating revelations between Yuri and Kim Hee-chul, along with their no-holds-barred chemistry and playful back-and-forth, can be seen in the main broadcast of 'Love War.'
JTBC's 'Love War' premieres today (the 23rd) at 8:50 p.m. on JTBC.
