[Sportschosun, Reporter Lee Woo-joo] The wedding venue of former announcers Bae Sung-jae and Kim Da-young was revealed belatedly.
On the 23rd, a video titled "There was no wedding... but there was?!" was uploaded to the YouTube channel Dayoung Anaya.
Bae Sung-jae and Kim Da-young married in May last year. The couple had previously said they would forgo a separate wedding ceremony and instead mark the occasion with a family meal and ring exchange.
Kim Da-young said, "We decided to leave photos with our families instead of having a wedding ceremony," and held a wedding photo shoot at Bukchon Hanok Village. Unlike Kim Da-young, who looked comfortable in a hanbok and posed skillfully, Bae Sung-jae smiled awkwardly and was corrected by the photographer.
The couple performed a deep bow to their parents in place of the traditional paebaek ceremony. Kim Da-young said, "I thought that was the end of it, but when we told them we were not having a separate wedding, the studio director prepared a mini wedding for us." Thanks to that, they were able to hold a simple ceremony. Kim Da-young, wearing a wedding dress, entered cheerfully while greeting imaginary guests.
Bae Sung-woo, Bae Sung-jae's brother, appeared with a mosaic over his face and joked, "Congratulations, and thank you so much. You even let me play the role of the father-in-law." Bae Sung-jae said, "A wedding is usually a celebration for the parents, but this event was so heavily led by the bride and groom that I feel sorry. I was very worried about the wedding, but you prepared everything so well. It was something we never expected, and we are truly grateful," thanking the studio for organizing the ceremony.
Bae Sung-jae said, "Today is actually the day we started dating, and we deliberately chose a weekday even though it may have been inconvenient for everyone to attend. Marriage means deciding to continue the lives our parents have lived, and although our parents may feel a great sense of emptiness today, we will do our best to live well until the day we, too, feel that kind of emptiness." Kim Da-young also became emotional and said, "I am so happy and grateful. I will live beautifully and happily from now on."
