[Sportschosun Jung Yoo-na] YouTuber Park Wi visited a hospital to check his health ahead of a marathon.
In the episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2: You Are My Destiny' that aired on the 23rd, Park Wi and his wife Song Ji-eun were shown taking on a 7km wheelchair marathon.
That day, Park Wi met with his attending physician and explained why he had come, saying, "Ji-eun was so worried about me that I came to see the professor."
Song Ji-eun then shared her concerns, saying, "Oppa doesn't sweat. I don't know what that condition is like, but I was afraid something serious might happen if he didn't sweat while running a marathon."
Explaining his condition, Park Wi said, "Normally, people regulate their body temperature through sweat, but I don't sweat, so my body retains heat." He added, "I turn the air conditioner on high to lower my temperature, or I drink a lot of ice water." The doctor advised, "Your body temperature could drop sharply," and added that he needed to manage his pace carefully throughout the race.
The medical team also stressed, "You need to drink plenty of water before and after the marathon," adding, "Even if you don't feel thirsty, you should still stay well hydrated." Park Wi, however, explained, "It's good to drink water, but if I drink too much, I have to go to the bathroom, so I've gotten into the habit of not drinking because of bladder management."
After hearing this, Song Ji-eun asked, "Why do you get Botox in the bladder?" The doctor explained that it was an "intradetrusor botulinum toxin injection," saying, "Some people have sensitive bladders, and this treatment makes the bladder less sensitive."
Park Wi then drew attention by adding, "It is inserted through the urethra and injected directly into the bladder," while discussing why the procedure was needed.
