Moon Hee-joon and Soyul's daughter begins serious idol training... "Be ready for 12-hour practice days"

[Sportschosun reporter Jung Yu-na] Hee-yul, the daughter of Moon Hee-joon and Soyul, has entered the full-fledged preparation stage for becoming an idol.

On the 26th, a video titled "Advice from Hee-joon, an idol senior?!" was uploaded to the YouTube channel Jaemi House.

Moon Hee-joon, Soyul, and their eldest daughter, Hee-yul, took time to answer fans' questions to celebrate the channel reaching 200,000 subscribers.

One viewer asked, "How are you handling your child's studies?" In response, the couple spoke candidly about their approach to education. Moon Hee-joon explained, "We don't force her to do things. We only talk about doing her homework and playing." He added, "We don't send her to cram schools either." He said that, however, they do let her take art classes because she wants to.

When another question came up about Hee-yul's audition plans, Moon Hee-joon said, "If she starts going to academies too young, it can be bad for her growth, and she wouldn't even understand it. So we planned to send her when she was older, and now she's reached that age." He added, "I think she'll start going to an academy this year. If she can learn from a professional teacher and build enough skill to audition, we plan to take her to auditions. I hope she passes."

Moon Hee-joon also recalled his own days as a trainee, saying, "I practiced 12 hours a day, every day without missing a single day. That's how I was able to debut." He then advised his daughter, "You have to endure and overcome difficult processes to become an idol. You need to be mentally prepared." He added, "You may not be able to have pajama parties anymore. There will be a lot to give up."

Meanwhile, Moon Hee-joon married singer Soyul, formerly of Crayon Pop, in 2017, and the couple has one son and one daughter.
