[Sportschosun Reporter Park A-ram] Singer Jang Ki-ha (44) and actress Yoon Ga-i (26), who had previously described completely different ideal types, have reportedly become a real-life couple, drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Jang Ki-ha's agency, DoorooDoo Artist Company, said, "The two are meeting with good feelings," while Yoon Ga-i's agency, W Entertainment, also confirmed the relationship, saying, "It is true that they are dating."
The two first met in 2023 as host and cast member on Coupang Play's "SNL Korea Season 4." After that, they stayed in touch as senior and junior figures in the entertainment industry. It was reported that they grew closer naturally through shared interests in music and film, eventually becoming a couple.
In particular, the couple has drawn even more attention because their past descriptions of their ideal types were nearly opposite.
Jang Ki-ha appeared on SBS's "Healing Camp, Aren't You Happy?" in 2012 and said, "I like women with a strong sense of identity and charisma. Someone who seems like she could put me in my place is attractive." He also said, "I have often dated women my age or older." He explained that he prefers someone with a stronger personality and a more proactive nature than his own.
In 2023, Yoon Ga-i appeared on the YouTube channel "Noppakku Tak Jae-hoon" and said, "I like someone kind and humble. A soft and gentle impression is my ideal type," showing a very different preference.
As one side had long favored a "charismatic, strong type who leads" while the other preferred a "kind and gentle-looking" partner, the fact that the two, with such opposite tastes, have become a real couple is drawing interest.
Meanwhile, after his activities with the band Kiha & The Faces, Jang Ki-ha has continued his music career as a solo artist while also working in dramas and films.
Yoon Ga-i made her debut through the film "Sun-hee and Seul-gi" and later became widely known through "SNL Korea." She is now active in a variety of projects.
