[Sportschosun Jung An-ji] Gree showed off his stepmother's cooking skills.
On the 27th episode of KBS 2TV's 'Mr. House Husband Season 2' (hereinafter 'Salimnam'), Gree, who had been discharged from the Republic of Korea Marine Corps five months earlier, appeared as a special guest on 'Salimnam' and displayed a real father-son chemistry with his father, Kim Gu-ra.
Gree, who began appearing on television with Kim Gu-ra at age 9, said, "There were many shows that came along with my father's household life. Now that I've completed my military service and returned, I don't have anything holding me back, so I want to show my own household life, full of confidence and energy," explaining why he decided to join 'Salimnam'.
However, Kim Gu-ra was right by Gree's side. Gree said, "I wasn't burdened at all by filming alone, but I thought he might help fill in some of the gaps," and Kim Gu-ra joked, "I thought that would be natural. But I thought my son would be called in the second or third round, so wasn't this using a big card too early?" drawing laughter.
Gree invited Kim Gu-ra to his favorite place, a PC cafe. He explained, "Today, I'm going to do whatever I want," adding, "I like games. I thought it would be nice to start with my father in a place I love."
The two spent a relaxed time together, ordering food and eating. When Gree said, "This is so nice," Kim Gu-ra replied, "If you like it, then I like it too," showing a warm father-son moment.
During their conversation, Kim Gu-ra mentioned his remarried wife and asked, "Didn't your stepmom cook for you last time? Did you say something like, 'It's so delicious' then?" Gree said, "I did." He added, "Her cooking was really good. She made side dishes with greens, and they were delicious."
After hearing that, Eun Ji-won said, "The person who can whip up greens and serve them right away is someone who really knows how to cook." Gree then made everyone laugh by saying, "It wasn't whipped up right away. She spent about eight hours on it." He added, "She made it with a lot of care," expressing his gratitude toward his stepmother and adding to the warm atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Kim Gu-ra ended his 18-year marriage with his former wife through an amicable divorce in 2015. He later remarried a non-celebrity 12 years younger than him in 2020, and the following year, in 2021, they welcomed their second daughter.
