Jung Juri Says She Even Considered Adoption Because She Had No Left Ovary... Five Children Came to Her Like a Miracle ('Dongchimi')

[Sportschosun reporter Jeong An-ji] Comedian Jung Juri described the journey to becoming a mother of five as a "miracle," after being told that it would be difficult for her to get pregnant.

On the 27th episode of MBN's "Dongchimi," Jung Juri, the mother of five sons, appeared and talked about her married life and parenting.

That day, Jung said, "I was actually told that getting pregnant would be difficult. I don't have a left ovary. In my early 20s, I had surgery because a cyst on my ovary had become too large."

She added, "At the time, the hospital said I might have trouble getting pregnant," and recalled, "I was dating my husband then, and because we both loved children so much, we even thought about adoption."

But against expectations, the miracle came quickly. Jung said, "I got pregnant before marriage," and explained, "Maybe because I felt more at ease as we started talking about marriage, I became pregnant."

She also said, "Before I got pregnant with my second child, I was going to the hospital because my polycystic ovary syndrome was severe. Even then, the doctors said it would probably be hard for me to get pregnant." She added, "The next month, I went to the hospital for a checkup on my polycystic ovary syndrome, and they said they could see a gestational sac."

Jung said, "My body was not in a condition that made it easy to have children, but miracles kept coming one after another," and added, "I was so grateful every time I had another child. It felt like such a blessing, so each one was even more precious." She expressed her deep affection for her children.

Her childbirth experience was also unusual. Jung said, "From my first to my third child, I had natural births. I gave birth in water with my husband," and added, "To make sure he wouldn't be shocked, we took childbirth classes together for a month. Going through every part of the birth process together gave us great strength."
