[Sportschosun, Reporter Kim Soo-hyun] Actress Ki Eun-se has shared an update after controversy over inconvenience caused to neighbors during the renovation of her detached house in Pyeongchang-dong.
On the 27th, Ki Eun-se reshared a post uploaded by an acquaintance on her social media account.
The post included the message, "Thanks to my sister, it was a healing and happy two days and one night," along with a glimpse of their relaxed daily life together.
Ki Eun-se had previously faced criticism over complaints from residents during the renovation of her detached house in Pyeongchang-dong. Some neighbors said construction vehicles blocked the alley, making it difficult to pass, and claimed that trash and dust from the work disrupted their daily lives.
As the controversy spread, Ki Eun-se's agency issued an official statement saying, "After becoming aware of complaints about parking inconvenience and cleaning, we personally apologized to the residents and completed the neighborhood cleanup."
It added, "We also quickly addressed the vehicle access issue, and we will continue communicating with residents until the construction is finished to minimize any inconvenience."
Ki Eun-se later also spoke directly about her feelings through her social media account. She said that because it was the first home she bought with money she earned herself, she wanted to do many things, which made the renovation period longer. She also expressed regret for causing inconvenience to local residents.
Meanwhile, Ki Eun-se married a Korean American businessman in 2012, but announced their divorce in 2023, 11 years later. Since then, she has remained active through television appearances and social media, continuing to connect with fans.
