[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Actress Oh Young-sil shared how she regained her health after overcoming thyroid cancer, while also expressing her affection for her family.

The MBN program "Altoran" aired on the 28th with a special segment titled "Hidden Recipes Revealed." Actress Oh Young-sil and chef Kim Dae-seok, who is nearing 3 million YouTube subscribers, appeared as guests and introduced home-style summer recipes such as bean sprout rice cake soup, cucumber and lettuce cold soup, and young radish noodles with soybean powder.

From the opening, Oh Young-sil showed her strong admiration for Kim Dae-seok. She said she regularly watches his videos and especially praised his rolled omelet recipe, creating a warm atmosphere.

Denny Ahn then said, "I got to taste Oh Young-sil's home-cooked meal before the recording," and praised it as "a flawless table that carefully considered everything, from color to nutrition."

There was a reason Oh Young-sil pays such close attention to her diet. She said, "I had thyroid cancer about 10 years ago," and recalled, "Before that, I would eat if there was food and skip meals if there wasn't."

She added, "Since then, I have become much more careful about what I eat. I also hosted health programs for a long time," and explained, "I watch the information they share there and act like a nag at home. I have now recovered enough to get insurance without any trouble."

The broadcast also revealed Oh Young-sil's home and her two sons for the first time, drawing attention. The clean, modern interior in black and white caught viewers' eyes, and the neatly organized spaces reflected her meticulous personality.

Oh Young-sil joked, "I moved recently. This is the first time I'm showing it on 'Altoran,'" and added, "I almost died while cleaning up," sending the studio into laughter.

She also showed herself preparing a healthy breakfast for her two sons, who visit every weekend, including avocado lattes and sandwiches. She said, "My sons stay near their office during the week because it's far from home, and they only come home on weekends," adding, "I just want to make sure they eat at least one proper meal."

She also shared a lighthearted story about her husband. Oh Young-sil said, "After we moved, my husband's hospital became too far away, so he leaves for work at 6 a.m. Then I have to get up at 5 a.m., but he says the hospital food is so good. I've been cooking for him for 30 years, and he said that right in front of me. But I'm actually glad. He handles all three meals at the hospital. I told him to keep eating there," drawing laughter.

Meanwhile, Oh Young-sil married a breast cancer specialist in 1990 and has two children. She recently shared on Dongchimi that her husband is now serving as the director of a cancer specialty hospital.
