APR, whose beauty device brand Medicube AGE-R is led by CEO Kim Byung-hoon, introduced its first character collaboration product by launching the limited-edition 'MediCube AGE-R Booster Pro X2 Joan Friends Edition' in partnership with the popular character brand ZO&FRIENDS.
APR officially released the Medicube AGE-R 'Booster Pro X2 Joan Friends Edition' through the brand's official online store. ZO&FRIENDS is a character IP created through a collaboration between IPX, formerly LINE FRIENDS, and G-Dragon. It features a lineup of distinctive characters, including ZOA, A&NE, AKI and ZAKI. The new product is the first character collaboration version of the Booster Pro X2, which was launched in March. APR plans to incorporate character elements into Medicube AGE-R devices to enhance their collectible value and broaden their appeal to a wider range of consumers.
This edition is especially notable for reflecting the design elements of ZOA, the flagship character of ZO&FRIENDS, throughout the product. APR applied a head cap shaped like ZOA and a cloud-shaped stand, while also featuring ZO&FRIENDS characters on the device's LCD screen to add exclusive details unique to the limited edition.
APR has also set up an offline experience space. At its flagship store, MediCube Seongsu, located in Seongsu-dong, the company is operating a special area where visitors can try the 'MediCube AGE-R Booster Pro X2 Joan Friends Edition' in person. The site includes themed zones and photo spots inspired by ZO&FRIENDS, offering visitors a variety of attractions.
An APR official said, "This 'MediCube AGE-R Booster Pro X2 Joan Friends Edition' is the first character collaboration product for the Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro X2. It was designed to offer a fresh experience by combining the device's core functionality with the distinctive sensibility of the character brand." The official added, "We plan to continue expanding elements that make our products and brand feel more approachable, so that customers can enjoy new brand experiences."
