[Sportschosun, Reporter Lee Ge-eun] Sooyoung of Girls' Generation and actress has drawn renewed attention to a past interview after ending her 14-year relationship with actor Jung Kyung-ho.
Sooyoung appeared on SBS's "Healing Camp, Aren't You Happy" in 2014 and spoke about her relationship with Jung Kyung-ho at the time. It was not long after she had confirmed their romance.
When asked, "You were caught three times and rumors spread about your relationship. Did you lack the skills to keep it secret?" Sooyoung replied, "I didn't have any tricks. He was my first boyfriend, so I don't think I really knew what a public relationship felt like." She also candidly shared her concerns about dating in the public eye, saying, "My position isn't clearly defined, so I wondered whether a label would be attached to me."
Meanwhile, Jung Kyung-ho and Sooyoung became a couple in 2012 and had been publicly dating since 2014, but they recently broke up. On the 9th, breakup rumors surfaced after online communities and social media reported that the two had unfollowed each other's accounts. Saram Entertainment later confirmed the split, saying, "It is true that Sooyoung recently broke up with Jung Kyung-ho. The two have decided to remain good colleagues."
