[Sportschosun Lee Ji-hyun] Actress Ji So-yeon shared her honest feelings as she looked back on the past on her birthday.
On the 10th, Ji So-yeon posted a long message on her social network service (SNS), saying, "I was left with more thoughts than usual on my birthday this year."
She confessed, "My life feels divided into before I collapsed and after I collapsed." She added, "After going through that, I am slowly learning how grateful I should be for an ordinary day that once felt so natural, and how much of a gift an everyday life really is."
She also expressed gratitude to her family and friends who spent her birthday with her, as well as to fans who sent their support from afar. Ji So-yeon said, "Thanks to my family and friends who made time to be with me, and everyone who thoughtfully sent gifts and congratulations, I had such a warm day."
She drew attention by revealing how her values in life have changed. Ji So-yeon wrote, "This year, as I celebrated my birthday, I found myself asking more questions like, 'Why did God send me to this world?' and 'What am I supposed to live for?' rather than thinking, 'What else do I want to achieve?'"
She continued, "Going forward, I want to live by seeking God's plan before my own, and God's will before my own desires." She added, "I still fall short in many ways, and I am still someone who stumbles, learns every day, falls down, and gets back up. But even in that, I want to find reasons to be thankful, choose joy, and live a life that pleases God."
Finally, Ji So-yeon said, "I sincerely thank everyone who congratulated me, prayed for me, and shared this day with love." She ended her message with the words, "Still growing today, still choosing joy today, still seeking God's will today."
Meanwhile, Ji So-yeon previously drew concern after revealing a video on SNS showing her suddenly losing consciousness and falling backward while filming her children in the living room at home. She later said she had visited several hospitals to check her condition after the fainting episode.
She said, "I kept going to hospitals for four days after that." She added, "I underwent every test I could, including blood tests, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and computed tomography (CT), and even visited a tertiary hospital, but the exact cause has not yet been found." She went on, "I think I lived too confidently about my health." She added, "Through this incident, I was reminded once again of how important it is to take care of my health."
Ji So-yeon married actor Song Jae-hee in 2017, and the couple has one son and two daughters.
