[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] NVIDIA Chairman Jensen Huang candidly revealed his own hiring standard.
Jensen Huang, the head of the global semiconductor company NVIDIA, appeared on tvN (Total Variety Network)'s "You Quiz on the Block," which aired on the 10th. His first-ever appearance on a variety show drew major attention even before the broadcast, and he quickly captured the set with his warm charm and witty remarks, drawing viewers' attention.
That day, Yoo Jae-suk asked Jensen Huang about his hiring standards, saying, "I heard you don't just hire smart people. Is there anything you pay special attention to?"
In response, Jensen Huang said, "Intelligence is a commodity. There are too many smart people in the world," and added, "There are countless great universities and millions of outstanding students. Our society produces an enormous amount of intelligence. Intelligence is now a common commodity, and it is everywhere. On top of that, there is AI."
He continued, "The most important thing is humanity. If you are looking for someone to work with, you should find someone who knows how to give. The mindset of 'I want you to succeed' is also a form of giving," and added, "Some people feel bad when someone else succeeds. I feel happy when I see someone succeed."
He also advised, "So when hiring, you should look for generous and kind people," and added, "Those qualities are truly valuable skills. People like that will succeed anywhere. To succeed, surround yourself with people like that," leaving a strong impression.
