[Sportschosun Jung An-ji] Singer Lee Hyori drew attention after showing off her real-life couple chemistry with Lee Sang Soon by kicking back at his prank. She said, "It seems Lee Sang Soon killed my love cells."
On the 11th, JTBC released a teaser video titled "Lee Hyori's love cells are waking up" for its show Love War.
In the video, Lee Hyori said, "I think all my love cells are dead. I think Lee Sang Soon killed my love cells." When Lee Sang Soon playfully pushed her forehead, Lee Hyori kicked back, drawing laughter with their very real married-couple chemistry. Lee Hyori married Lee Sang Soon in 2013.
She also candidly said, while watching real couples' videos, "It's so enviable that I can't even remember when I last cried because I liked someone."
Her signature sharp wit also stood out. Responding to the contestants' stories, Lee Hyori threw out unpredictable advice such as "Book a two-hour room," "Replace the bathroom door with a transparent one," "Break up," and "Break up, then meet again three or four years later." Her remarks had the set in stitches.
She also hinted at a special chemistry with fellow MC Seo Jang-hoon. To Seo, who had a lot he wanted to say, Lee Hyori told him to "keep it short" and added, "What are you whispering about? You must be lonely. You must not have anyone to talk to at home." Seo Jang-hoon laughed off the unexpected jab, saying, "It makes me feel intimidated."
Meanwhile, JTBC's new variety show Love War is a relationship reality program in which Lee Hyori, Seo Jang-hoon, and Kim Hee-chul, all known as dating experts, meet couples on the verge of breaking up, negotiate on their behalf, and help settle the matter. It will premiere on Tuesday, June 23, at 8:50 p.m.
