On the 11th, Eli wrote on his personal account, "The past five years have been the most difficult and transformative period of my life. They were filled with ups and downs, hardships, painful lessons, personal growth, and moments that made me see life from a different perspective. Along the way, I was blessed to meet an amazing woman."
He continued, "She brought understanding, happiness, and peace into my life. Her patience and support helped me get through the hardest times and made the good moments even more meaningful. I am grateful to have found someone to share the rest of my life with. I feel very lucky to begin this new chapter together, and I look forward to what the future holds for us."
He added, "I am thankful for everything I have learned, for where this journey has taken me, and for the opportunity to begin this new chapter together. Eli debuted as a U-KISS member in 2008 and married former racing model Ji Yeon-soo, who is 11 years older than him, in 2014. The couple had one son, but they divorced in 2020. They later drew attention by appearing on TV Chosun's "We Got Divorced 2" in 2022.
