[Sportschosun Lee Ge-eun] Broadcaster Kim Na-young shared the story of receiving a diamond ring from her mother-in-law.
On the 11th, a video titled "Kim Nayoung's nofilterTV releases the accessories Kim Na-young has collected over 20 years!" was posted on the channel.
That day, Kim Na-young revealed the accessories she had collected over the past 20 years. The first item she showed was a diamond ring she received from her mother-in-law.
She recalled, "I received it when I went to her house for a meal. I think it was the second time I met her. She suddenly took out this ring and said she had bought it a long time ago. She told me, 'I think you are the one who should wear this ring.'"
The ring suited Kim Na-young perfectly, matching her slender fingers. Kim Na-young laughed and said, "I guess my mother-in-law thought I would be a slim person too."
She went on to say, "There is a story behind this ring. After getting married, my mother-in-law removed the diamond from her wedding ring to help her younger sibling get married. She lived without a ring for a while, and only wore this one after her circumstances improved. When she bought it, she apparently thought, 'I should not wear this myself, but give it to the child who will become my daughter-in-law.' That was decades ago." Her heartfelt explanation drew attention.
Meanwhile, Kim Na-young raised her two sons alone after her divorce, and remarried singer and painter MyQ in 2025.
