[Sportschosun Lee Gae-eun] Actress Yoon So-yi revealed why she became the owner of a grilled fish restaurant.
On the 11th, Yoon So-yi's latest update was shared on the YouTube channel PDC.
Yoon So-yi drew attention when she said she had opened a grilled fish restaurant near Ttukseom Station a month earlier. When asked why she chose grilled fish, she said, "I wanted to serve food that people usually do not make well at home if I could. That is also why I used to run a jokbal restaurant."
"My mother ran several restaurants, including galbi and bulgogi places, since I was young," she added. "Maybe because I grew up seeing that, I never felt any barrier to running a restaurant."
People then responded that they had expected her to open a restaurant after her daughter entered elementary school. Yoon So-yi replied, "I had been thinking that I wanted to run a restaurant again, but as I got older, I became more afraid. Then last year, I had an ambitious conversation with my husband. I told him, 'We'll be 50 in six years, and I don't think I'll have the courage then. Let's do what we want, and even if things do not go well, let's not blame each other.' So my husband held a photo exhibition last year, and I ended up opening a restaurant this year."
When asked what gave her the courage to take this step, Yoon So-yi spoke about her daughter. She said, "Once I had a child, I became afraid that I might not be a good parent or a good role model for her. I want my child to live hard and happily. To raise her that way, I have to set an example myself." She showed a strong sense of responsibility as a mother.
Meanwhile, Yoon So-yi married musical actor Jo Sung-yoon in 2017, and the couple has one daughter.
