[Sportschosun Park Aram] Actor Ryu Seung-ryong has emerged as an unexpected meme star through the "I Like You" challenge using the OST from the film "Wild Sing," and he responded to the flood of fan speculation with a witty explanation.
On the 11th, Ryu Seung-ryong posted a video on his personal account with a playful caption that read, "1. No debt to Oh Jung-se, 2. Not investing in the film, 3. Not drinking or smoking, 4. Considering a catcher version."
The post was framed as a response to the various theories fans had raised about the "I Like You" challenge, which has recently been heating up online, drawing laughs from viewers.
Earlier, on the 27th of last month, Ryu Seung-ryong shared a challenge video set to "I Like You," the OST sung by Oh Jung-se, who plays Choi Seong-gon in the film "Wild Sing." In particular, he fully committed to the look with a bob wig and bold facial expressions, showing a powerful presence. The video quickly spread across SNS and online communities.
In a follow-up video released later, he delivered an even more upgraded performance. Dressed in pure white and wearing angel wings, Ryu Seung-ryong lip-synced and performed, bringing explosive laughter. Even without accompaniment, he kept flapping his wings with full-body commitment, drawing an enthusiastic response from fans.
As the video gained attention, netizens responded with playful comments such as, "What kind of debt does he owe Oh Jung-se?" "Did he invest in the film?" and "Is he being threatened?" Ryu Seung-ryong then stepped in to explain personally, connecting with fans through his trademark sense of humor.
His fellow actors also reacted enthusiastically. Kim Hye-soo burst into laughter in the comments, while Park Ha-sun left a message of support, saying, "I really like it."
