[Sportschosun, Reporter Kim So-hee] 'The Seasons' is filling a summer night with romance with its first-ever outdoor stage.
The KBS 2TV music talk show 'The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend,' airing on the 12th, will feature a wide range of artists, including Lee Eun-mi, MeloMance, Urban Zakapa's Kwon Soon-il and Jo Hyun Ah, I-dle's Miyeon, Hearts2Hearts (H2H), and Jannabi, all taking the stage for a festival-like performance.
To mark Environment Day on June 5, the episode will be presented as a special titled 'Summer Night Playlist.' As the show's first outdoor broadcast, host Sung Si-kyung will open with a particularly memorable performance, sweetening the atmosphere with a live rendition of his signature song, 'The Road to Me.'
Lee Eun-mi will appear as the 12th guest in the duet segment 'Two People.' Sung Si-kyung, who previously covered Lee Eun-mi's 'Some Yearning' in 2004, will perform with the original singer on the day. The two are expected to deliver deep emotion with the synergy of top-tier vocalists. Lee, who said she has performed about 1,500 times so far, drew admiration from Sung with her unwavering passion and love for the stage. She also showed why she is considered a true diva by moving through the audience and interacting closely with fans.
MeloMance will lift the mood with exceptional fan service amid the crowd's enthusiastic sing-alongs. Jeong Dong-hwan, who serves as the band's master on 'The Seasons,' reportedly could not hide his excitement about the first outdoor stage, saying, "I'm happy that a dream has become reality." Kim Min-seok, who mentioned makgeolli as something that reminds him of summer nights, will also share a story about ending up in the emergency room after drinking with Sung Si-kyung, raising curiosity about what happened afterward. He is also set to unveil a new song and dominate the venue with his explosive live performance.
Urban Zakapa's Kwon Soon-il and Jo Hyun Ah will present a polished stage that moves between delicate vocals and soulful emotion. Jo said, "I want to get married within 10 years," and continued the lively conversation by revealing that she once named Sung Si-kyung as her ideal type. I-dle's Miyeon, who has a special connection with Jo, will also appear and add even more richness to the stage. Miyeon will personally share the behind-the-scenes story behind the saying that Jo Hyun Ah "raised Miyeon on her back," showing their warm chemistry.
Hearts2Hearts will captivate the audience with a stage full of fresh and lively energy. Since their debut, the group has swept various rookie awards and became the first K-pop girl group song released this year to surpass 100 million cumulative streams on Spotify, so they are expected to deliver a highly polished performance on this stage as well.
Jannabi will stir emotions with a stage filled with romance. Choi Jung-hoon, who appeared on stage with a wrist cast, drew attention by revealing the story behind the injury he suffered at a university festival. Jannabi visited 11 universities this year in total, and the band expressed its special affection for the energy of campus festivals, saying, "It feels like my soul is being healed." The group will also preview a joint performance of 'For Lovers Who Hesitate' with Sung Si-kyung, raising anticipation for a musical chemistry that cannot be seen anywhere else.
Meanwhile, the KBS 2TV music talk show 'The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend' will air at 10:20 p.m. on the 12th.
