[Sportschosun Reporter Park A-ram] It has been 11 years since model and actress Jung In-ah, whose real name was Hye-Kyeong Jeong, passed away.
The late Jung In-ah was involved in an accident during skydiving training in Goheung County, South Jeolla Province, on June 13, 2015. After jumping from a light aircraft, she landed in water rather than on land. She was found dead in a nearby lake on June 16, three days after a missing-person report was filed. She was 35.
Police, who investigated the accident, concluded that her parachute opened normally, but she drifted off course during landing and fell into the water, where she drowned. Although the site was foggy at the time, it was reportedly operating with official permission.
The tragedy was even more heartbreaking because she had reportedly trained for about a year so she could perform the skydiving scene herself ahead of a film shoot. She was known for enjoying sports and challenges, and she had even earned a skydiving certification, showing her exceptional passion.
Jung In-ah made her entertainment debut in middle school as a clothing advertisement model. She later expanded her career into acting, moving between theater and television. She steadily built her acting skills on stage and appeared in the 2008 drama "The Secret of Coocoo Island," meeting viewers through the small screen.
She also worked as a trainer after earning certifications as a yoga and Pilates instructor. She stood out in the health and fitness field, including through her involvement in operating a fitness center, and she also showed her dedication to academics by pursuing graduate studies, revealing her many talents.
During her entertainment career, she also faced financial difficulties after guaranteeing a friend's debt, which led her to step away from broadcasting for a time. Even so, she kept challenging herself in new fields and forged her own path. Her passionate life as an actress, model, and trainer remains in the memories of many.
