[Sportschosun, Reporter Lee Ga-eun] Comedian Lee Hong-ryeol shared the painful story of his failed business ventures.
On the 12th, Lee Hong-ryeol TV released a video of Lee Hong-ryeol meeting his junior, Yoon Hyung-bin.
In the video, Lee Hong-ryeol connected with Yoon Hyung-bin, who had also experienced business failure. He said he, too, had tried his hand at several businesses, including a pet store, a karaoke bar, and running an entertainment agency, but they all ended in failure. He also drew attention by mentioning a hamburger shop.
Lee Hong-ryeol said, "The last business I tried was a burger shop in Hongdae." He added, "The rent in Hongdae was no joke. The monthly rent for a 64-pyeong space was 11 million won. After paying the wages for 11 employees and the cost of ingredients, whatever was left belonged to my wife and me. We were left with a net profit of 1 million to 1.4 million won. I decided I should never go into business again," and said he later closed the shop.
In a previous video, Lee Hong-ryeol also said, in response to the question, "Do you regret running the burger shop?" "It failed, but I never regret it. I put up my house as collateral and took on 300 million won in debt. But I was working a lot at the time, so I was able to recover. If I had failed while running a shop now, it could have been a disaster."
