On the 15th, Dee Hsu posted on her social media, "My sister will forever remain 48, while I just turned 48 today," mentioning her own birthday.
She went on to say, "From now on, I guess I will become the older sister to my sister. I will protect you and tell you what is happening at home. Don't worry, because I am here. You became a star in the sky that lights up my darkness." Her husband, Koo Jun-yup, showed his support by liking the post.
Meanwhile, Koo Jun-yup and Xu Xiyuan dated for about a year in 1998 before breaking up. After Xu Xiyuan's divorce, they reunited dramatically more than 20 years later and married in March 2022.
However, Xu Xiyuan suddenly died in February last year during a family trip to Japan, after coming down with the flu and pneumonia. She was 48. Since then, Koo Jun-yup has been seen visiting her grave even in bad weather, and reports of his noticeably thinner appearance have also drawn sympathy.
