Actress Yoo Hye-jung has drawn attention for showing a mature family dynamic as she expressed gratitude toward her ex-husband and former pro baseball player Yong-Bin Seo. Their past agreement not to reveal the reason for their divorce has also attracted renewed interest.
A recent video on the YouTube channel "Bunguhppang Family Hyejeong Gyuwon" showed their daughter, Seo Gyu-won, visiting Jamsil Baseball Stadium to meet her father. Seo, who is currently working as a Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the LG Twins, greeted his daughter with a bright smile as soon as he saw her. The two enjoyed a warm father-daughter outing, sharing a meal and watching a baseball game together.
Their matching white shirts and black pants added to the heartwarming scene as they posed side by side in front of a mirror. Seo Gyu-won said, "It was nice to see my dad in his main job today," and added, "If I get the chance, I want to film another date with my dad."
In the video, Yoo Hye-jung also revealed her sincere feelings toward her ex-husband. She said, "Gyu-won often goes on dates with her dad. Today, too, she is going to watch baseball with him," adding, "I tell Gyu-won, 'You have so many good qualities, and I think you inherited many of them from your dad's good genes rather than mine.'"
"I am always grateful to Gyu-won's father," she continued. "I am thankful for giving me such a wonderful daughter, and I am also grateful that he has become such a great father in his own way."
The scene carries even greater meaning when compared with their divorce in 2007. Yoo Hye-jung and Yong-Bin Seo married in 1999 and welcomed their daughter, Seo Gyu-won, the following year. Nine years after their marriage, they went their separate ways in 2007.
At the time, Seo acknowledged the divorce but drew a line when it came to the details, saying, "We agreed not to talk about the reason for the divorce." Since then, the two have continued their lives without blaming or exposing each other, while remaining devoted parents to their daughter.
Afterward, Yoo Hye-jung stepped away from broadcasting for a time to focus on raising her daughter. Seo Gyu-won is now known to be working in the hospitality industry as a hotelier.
