[Sportschosun Jung An-ji] Jun Hyo-seong of Secret opened up about a difficult period in her past, revealing that she had not been paid for three years and sharing her honest feelings.
On the 15th, a video titled "Two Women Suddenly Crying While Eating Pot Rice and a Full Secret Reunion♥" was uploaded to the YouTube channel Kim Sook TV.
That day, Kim Sook spoke warmly about her connection with Jun Hyo-seong, saying, "We met through Video Star. She was one of the members I ate with almost every week in the same dressing room." She then carefully added, "Hyo-seong has been through some pain. She never received her appearance fees."
Jun Hyo-seong responded calmly, saying, "That's right. I didn't receive anything for the three years I worked," drawing sympathy.
Kim Sook said, "No wonder she was so motivated at first, but at some point she lost that drive." She added, "At the time, I wondered why she had become so unmotivated, but it was because she couldn't earn money," expressing her regret.
Jun Hyo-seong recalled, "That was exactly the time I was moving from my 20s into my 30s." She continued, "Back then, I didn't know how to find happiness anywhere other than work." She added, "I went through a lot of life experiences then and think I matured a great deal," and noted, "I also came to appreciate the staff much more."
She also spoke about her daily life after stepping away from activities. Jun Hyo-seong said, "When I woke up at home in the morning, I prayed. I hoped, 'I wish this ordeal would end soon.'"
Jun Hyo-seong also took on new challenges to prepare for the future. She said, "I obtained a Pet Care Manager certificate." She added, "I started thinking about what I would do if I were no longer a celebrity, and I realized I wanted to do something for animals," revealing that she also holds Pet Care Manager and Pet funeral director certificates.
After a two-year hiatus, Jun Hyo-seong said, "Lately, I've really wanted to be a singer again after such a long time." She added, "Secret is making a comeback after 12 years," drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Secret will release its special mini album "Secret Flavor" on the 18th as a three-member group consisting of Jun Hyo-seong, Zinger, and new member Yebin.
