[Sportschosun Baek Ji-eun] STAYC is opening a new chapter.
STAYC will release its sixth single album, '2:LOVE,' at 6 p.m. on the 16th.
'2:LOVE' captures the excitement, anxiety, and moments of certainty that come with love, all expressed through STAYC's bright and lively energy. It shows the group's signature lovable and confident charm as they move forward while wavering and worrying, yet staying honest about their feelings.
The title track, '2:LOVE,' was inspired by the tennis score term '2:0 (two-love).' By replacing the 'O' in 'love' with the number '0,' the title cleverly carries the meaning of '2:0.' It is a pop dance track with an attractive synth sound and lyrics that compare the feeling of falling in love to the flow of a tennis match, highlighting STAYC's upbeat mood and self-assured approach to love.
The teaser for the '2:LOVE' music video, released on the 14th, captured STAYC's bright and free-spirited moments. The members' lively energy, fitting for the summer season, along with rhythmic direction and the song's cheerful beat, raised anticipation for the full music video to come.
The album also includes 'WHERE YOU AT?,' which expresses the excitement and certainty toward someone who feels destined to appear; 'Sorry,' which playfully and wittily captures the moments of repeating the same love story; and 'Beat My Love,' which follows the process of ultimately trusting one's own racing heart even amid emotions that are hard to resolve. Together, the tracks portray a wide range of feelings about love in STAYC's own style.
Having solidified its identity as 'Teen Fresh' through songs such as 'ASAP,' 'Teddy Bear,' 'Bubble,' and 'I Want It,' STAYC is set to add a new musical color with '2:LOVE' through a more mature emotional line and a candid love story.
STAYC will kick off its 2026 fan concert tour, 'STAY CLOSER,' with performances in Seoul on August 22 and 23, before heading to seven cities in total, including Manila, Macau, Taipei, Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney.
