[Sportschosun Baek Ji-eun] Channel A's 'Heart Signal' has completely reshuffled the screen time of its cast following affair allegations.
In the episode of 'Heart Signal Season 5' aired on the 16th, the love line centered on Kang Yoo-kyung took shape. The screen time of the other cast members was sharply reduced.
The broadcast showed Jung Jun-hyun making a full-scale move toward Kang Yoo-kyung, who has been maintaining a solid relationship with Park Woo-yeol. While Park Woo-yeol spent time with other female cast members, Jung approached Kang, struck up a natural conversation, and even checked her preferences through balance-game style questions. His active but non-pushy approach seemed to put Kang at ease, and she appeared relaxed rather than uncomfortable.
'Heart Signal Season 5' is currently drawing attention over allegations involving a female cast member's affair. One internet user claimed that female cast member A, identified here as Jung Gyu-ri, has been living with a married man despite the legal wife's desperate requests, all for the sake of her career. The user also alleged that during the 'Heart Signal Season 5' group filming, she met the married man, spent time with him, and then returned to the lodging. The legal wife ultimately filed a lawsuit against A over the affair, but A allegedly responded by mentioning criminal complaints, adding to the secondary harm. The user also released CCTV footage that allegedly showed the woman believed to be A engaging in physical contact with a man inside an elevator, causing shock.
In response, the production team said, "We are currently confirming the facts with the person involved," while also stating, "Regardless of whether the allegations are true, we will actively review our direction for her appearance."
Since the controversy, several strange changes have surfaced. A pre-released video that had drawn attention for rumors of a home date between Kang Yoo-kyung and Park Woo-yeol was suddenly re-edited, and one female cast member's screen time disappeared altogether. The production team says there was an editing mistake, but the abrupt revision after the affair allegations only added fuel to the fire. In the main broadcast as well, Kang Yoo-kyung's screen time increased dramatically while another female cast member's presence was significantly cut, leaving viewers unable to shake their suspicions.
