On the 17th, Kang Ye-won posted a photo on her social media account along with the message, "I went to the dawn Mass for the 50th day memorial. I saw Dad too. I prayed for him. Let's meet again on your birthday."
The photo showed Kang Ye-won visiting the memorial park where her father is laid to rest. She attended the early morning Mass and offered a heartfelt prayer for him, easing her longing. She was also seen preparing food that her father had liked when he was alive, moving many viewers.
Kang Ye-won previously lost her father in April. In that context, she drew sympathy from viewers when she spoke candidly on the SBS program "My Little Old Boy," which aired on the 14th, about the reality of facing the large debt her father left behind.
At the time, Kang Ye-won visited a Law Office and was shocked after hearing that the debt left by her father amounted to about 1 billion to 1.1 billion won, with roughly 300 million won due in May.
