[Sportschosun Lee Ge-eun] Actor Lee Han-wi shared the love story with his wife, who is 19 years younger than him.
The episode of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)'s "Radio Star" that aired on the 17th featured Kim Jung-eun, Lee Han-wi, Solbi, and Kinky in a special titled "Lovers of Short-Form Content."
Lee Han-wi appeared in the 2004 KBS1 drama "Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin." He said, "I left the show in episode 60. At first, the production team promised that although I was a supporting actor, I would stay until the end, but I ended up dropping out. Then, some time later, my current wife contacted me through my blog. She asked, 'You said you'd buy me something delicious back then, so what happened?'"
He added, "If I had stayed on the drama, my wife would never have contacted me." He explained that he was not trying to flirt, but that they had simply shared a few meals together, and said that it was his wife who first showed interest in him.
Lee Han-wi went on to say that during the roughly three months they dated, he had many sincere conversations with her and tried repeatedly to persuade her as he struggled with their age gap. He explained, "At the end, I asked, 'Can you marry me?' meaning I wanted to leave no lingering feelings. She said, 'Why couldn't I?' Five seconds later, I said, 'Then let's get started.'"
They overcame their 19-year age gap and got married, and he said their three children are now in their final year of high school, their first year of high school, and middle school.
