[Sportschosun Jung An-ji] Lee Hye-young revealed a special offer she received from Chanel 30 years ago.
On the 18th, a video titled "Three Dressing Rooms, Lee Hye-young’s 30-Year Fashion Archive Without Trends [First Reveal]" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Hye-young Can't Be Stopped."
In the video, Lee Hye-young opened her dressing room, filled with clothes and accessories she has collected for more than 30 years, and showed her deep affection for it by saying, "This is my archive. It contains my life." She added, "I have loved clothes since I was born. I still have clothes I collected 30 years ago," and said, "Clothes are my life."
While introducing tweed outfits in her main wardrobe room, Lee Hye-young shared an episode from a past brand event.
She said, "About 25 to 30 years ago, when the luxury brand C first entered Korea, I ended up doing a fashion show. I walked as a model in 2001," and added, "At the time, they told me not to take money and instead take 30 million won worth of clothes." Her story drew surprise.
Lee Hye-young laughed and said, "Now, at luxury brand C, two or three pieces of clothing can cost 30 million won, but back then, no matter how much I chose, it never came to 30 million won. It wasn’t that expensive then. I think I even bought all sorts of strange things."
She then showed the luxury brand C jacket she had personally chosen at the time and expressed her affection for it, saying, "It was one of the pieces I got back then."
Lee Hye-young also introduced a variety of luxury items, not just those from brand C, and shared her own fashion philosophy. She said, "You should study designers, not just buy something because it is luxury," and added, "If you look at my closet, there are hardly any clothes I bought just to follow trends. When I was young, I didn’t have the money to chase trends. If something was said to be trendy, I would have to buy it again, but I wanted to dress differently. I think I had a different eye."
