[Sportschosun Reporter Park A-ram] Actress Yang Jeong-a is mourning the death of her mother.
According to the entertainment industry on the 19th, Yang Jeong-a's mother, Choi Jeong-ok, has passed away. The funeral altar has been set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, and the funeral will be held at 6:40 a.m. on the 21st. The burial site is Yongin Catholic Cemetery.
Yang Jeong-a is reportedly staying at the funeral home with her family and grieving for the deceased.
The news is especially heartbreaking because it came shortly after Yang Jeong-a spoke on television about her deep affection for her mother.
On the KBS 1TV program 'Hwang Shin-hye's Let’s Live Together,' which aired on the 10th, Yang Jeong-a talked about her mother's health. At the time, she explained that her mother had been receiving treatment since suffering a spinal fracture in December last year, and she shared details of the days when she personally cared for her.
She also opened up about how much she missed her mother. Yang Jeong-a said, "Even when she is alive, I always miss her," and added, "My wish is to be able to look into her eyes and talk to her, even for a moment," moving the cast and viewers alike.
The sorrow deepened as the heartbreaking news arrived not long after her heartfelt confession about hoping for her mother's recovery aired.
