[Sportschosun Kim So-hee] Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Go-eun and Yoo In-na from "Goblin" have reunited after 10 years.
"Together, Brilliantly Divine - Goblin 10th Anniversary Trip" (directed by Hwang Da-won, hereinafter "Goblin 10th Anniversary Travel"), which will premiere on Saturday, July 4 at 9:10 p.m., is a special program produced to mark the 10th anniversary of the broadcast of the drama "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," which sparked a global sensation. It was also created as part of tvN's 20th anniversary edition, adding to its significance. The program will follow the key cast members, including Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Go-eun and Yoo In-na, as they head to Gangneung for a nostalgic trip.
Among them, a teaser offering a glimpse of the four characters from "Goblin" has been released, heightening curiosity about their journey. The teaser hints at a different kind of charm from the drama, featuring the goblin who endures immortal time (Gong Yoo), the goblin bride destined to end his immortality (Kim Go-eun), the grim reaper with a sorrowful past life (Lee Dong-wook), and Sunny (Yoo In-na).
First, Gong Yoo is set to shine as the eldest and a power-J type who is prepared in both looks and planning. He impresses everyone by bringing not only ingredients but also the next morning's breakfast menu himself. He also shows his meticulous side by carefully packing sparkling water, yutnori for everyone to play, and hangover food. But whenever something unexpected happens, he suddenly switches into "worry doll" mode and draws laughter. His unexpectedly clumsy, lovable side is raising anticipation.
Kim Go-eun, who is "Eun-tak herself," will also stand out for her "lovable youngest" charm. She is expected to show off her bright and adorable energy, radiating a playful youngest-sibling vibe. Just as she honestly confessed, "I really love being doted on," she is likely to win everyone's affection with her cute mannerisms. She also makes the set burst into laughter when she shouts, "Yes, seniors!" in response to Gong Yoo's toast. On top of that, she proves to be highly capable in the kitchen and takes on the role of a reliable action leader, showing the presence of a "sharp and lucky charm."
Lee Dong-wook shows the textbook example of a sweet man who seems indifferent on the outside but is warm on the inside. His thoughtfulness, including carefully preparing gifts for the younger cast members, makes everyone fall for him. In particular, he is expected to bring laughter by saying, "I'm not doing it," while still enjoying the trip more enthusiastically than anyone else. Lee Dong-wook's unexpected variety-show charm, driven by sincerity even when his words and actions differ, is also drawing attention.
Yoo In-na's quirky yet lovable "sunshine charm" is also impossible to miss. She finds happiness in small everyday moments and brightens the set with her kind positivity and warm words. As the cast members said, "She sleeps like a baby" and "In-na speaks so beautifully," she is expected to heal the atmosphere simply by being there. She also reveals her offbeat side in unexpected moments and shows surprising variety-show instincts, prompting reactions like, "The more you watch, the funnier Yoo In-na gets."
The two-day, one-night trip of these four people, each with a different kind of charm, already promises a laughter-filled journey even in the short teaser. Expectations are rising for the cheerful chemistry the four actors will show as they reunite after 10 years, as well as for the special trip that is expected to bring back viewers' memories.
tvN's 20th anniversary edition, "Goblin 10th Anniversary Travel," will premiere on Saturday, July 4 at 9:10 p.m.
