On the 19th episode of MBC's "I Live Alone," Ryu Hye-young's single life in her 11th year of living alone was shown.

That day, Ryu Hye-young had blackout curtains drawn not only in the bedroom but also in the living room. She said, "I wake up easily when I see sunlight," yet blackout curtains were also installed in the living room where she spends time awake and active.

When asked why she avoids sunlight, Ryu Hye-young said she had developed fear after suddenly gaining popularity through tvN's "Reply 1988."

She added, "I'm still quite timid, so I live with the curtains mostly closed because of my anxiety," drawing sympathy from viewers.

Meanwhile, Ryu Hye-young made a strong impression as Sung Bo-ra, the blunt and chic older sister of Lee Hye-ri's character, in the 2015 drama "Reply 1988." She has since shown her versatility through dramas and films such as "Law School" and "Seochodong," as well as variety shows and YouTube content.
