"It Felt Like an Escape"... fromis_9 Reveals Thoughts of Using an Emergency Ladder to Flee 7 Years of Dorm Life ('Knowing Bros')

[Sportschosun Reporter Jung An-ji] fromis_9 surprised everyone by revealing behind-the-scenes stories from their seven years of dorm life.

On the JTBC program 'Knowing Bros' that aired on the 20th, Narsha and JeA of Brown Eyed Girls, along with fromis_9's Baek Ji-heon and Lee Chaeyoung, Lee Se-nee's Won-i and Minami, Baby Don't Cry's Lee Hyeon, and Benny appeared as guests.

When asked about dorm life, fromis_9 said, "We don't use one anymore. After living in a dorm for seven years, we were each given our own room last year."

Recalling their former living conditions, Lee Chaeyoung said, "We lived on the rooftop of our company after converting the fourth and fifth floors into a home. We were like Rapunzel," drawing surprise.

When Baek Ji-heon said, "Every winter, the faucets would freeze," Chaeyoung added, "The pipes froze, so we slept at a hotel. In the summer, water from the air conditioner leaked everywhere, and staff had to come upstairs and scoop it out," describing the harsh dorm life they endured because of frozen pipes and leaks.

After hearing this, Lee Soo-geun laughed and said, "I thought you were going to say it was really hard because the pipes froze, but you slept at a hotel." Kang Ho-dong then chimed in, "Did you go to H Hotel?" Lee Chaeyoung replied, "If I had gone to S Hotel, I would have said it burst too," as she tried to explain.

The members also shared stories about their struggles to get out of the dorm. Lee Chaeyoung said, "We have a lot of memories of escaping," and Ji-heon recalled, "It felt like a prison break."

Lee Chaeyoung said, "Have you ever used an emergency ladder? To leave the dorm, you had to pass several CCTV cameras, so there was no way out. Of course, we never actually climbed down it, but we did try it out." She added, "We really wanted to get out. We wanted to go to a convenience store and watch movies, so we even attempted a dorm escape," drawing laughter. She also revealed, "We didn't even have cell phones for three and a half years," further shocking the cast.
