KBS2's beloved variety show with a 20-year history, 'Happy Together' (planned by Park Min-jung, directed by Kwon Jae-oh, written by Lee Min-jung, hereinafter 'Hae-tu'), is knocking on viewers' doors again with warm themes of music and life partners.
Since its first broadcast in 2001, 'Hae-tu' has gone through four seasons and spent 20 years laughing and crying with viewers through 2020. It is, without question, a cornerstone of KBS variety programming. While introducing new variations each season, such as 'Metal Tray Karaoke Room,' 'Nice to Meet You, My Friend,' and 'Sauna Talk,' the show has stayed true to its cheerful humor and cross-generational appeal, earning deep affection over the years.
The newly revived 'Hae-tu' adds even more anticipation by focusing more deeply on empathy and warmth as it seeks another evolution. Yoo Jae-suk, who listens to people; Jang Hang-jun, who listens to stories; and Yoon Jong-shin, who listens to music, will present a storytelling music audition that follows the narratives and harmonies of various 'life teammates.' The show plans to center on sincere stories that deliver happiness through music. In other words, music in 'Hae-tu' serves as the medium that carries, empathizes with, and shares the participants' stories.
At the center of it all are Yoo Jae-suk, Jang Hang-jun, and Yoon Jong-shin. Led by Yoo Jae-suk, the Nation's MC who reads people's hearts better than anyone, the trio is expected to create a warm harmony as Jang Hang-jun brings humor and warmth to the stories, while Yoon Jong-shin, who has comforted generations with countless songs, listens to the participants' music and stories in his own way. In fact, the pre-meeting video showing Yoo Jae-suk, Jang Hang-jun, and Yoon Jong-shin in the episode zero clip titled 'The Man Living with Hae-tu, First Reveal of the Glasses Trio' has surpassed 1.18 million views, drawing continued support.
In connection with this, the 'Hae-tu' team has already raised expectations by releasing three posters of Yoo Jae-suk, Jang Hang-jun, and Yoon Jong-shin, hinting at perfect chemistry. The posters highlight the three members of the 'glasses trio,' who exude a cheerful and bright charm. Their lovable chemistry naturally brings a smile, from the image of them singing together to the three heart poses that showcase the appeal of the 'three key-ring MCs.' Above all, Yoo Jae-suk, the 'Top 100 Ear,' Jang Hang-jun, the '10-million-director,' and Yoon Jong-shin, the 'judging expert,' fit together like puzzle pieces and promise perfect synergy. As the final piece is expected to be filled by the stories of which 'life teammates,' anticipation for the upcoming first broadcast of 'Hae-tu' is rising sharply.
Meanwhile, KBS2's new variety program 'Happy Together - Glad Not to Be Alone' will premiere on Friday, July 10, at 8:30 p.m.
