[Sportschosun Jo Min-jeong reporter] Singer Jeong Sewoon said his final goodbye to fans on the day of his enlistment.
Jeong Sewoon posted several photos on his social media account on the 23rd, along with a brief message that read, "D-day."
The released photos showed Jeong Sewoon's recent life ahead of enlistment. In a selfie taken in front of a mirror while holding his phone, he drew attention with his much shorter hairstyle and calm expression. His signature mood came through clearly beyond the flash-lit screen. Another photo showed him looking into the camera while wearing a mask. Although most of his face was covered, his clear eyes stood out, and both the regret and anticipation of enlistment could be felt at once.
That day, Jeong Sewoon will begin his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier in the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA). His agency, CAM WITH US (CAMWUS), said the training center location and time would not be disclosed for safety reasons. Ahead of his enlistment, Jeong Sewoon also sent a message to fans through his agency, saying, "I want to come back healthy and do many fun things together again."
Born in 1997, Jeong Sewoon rose to fame through the 2017 Mnet audition program "Produce 101 Season 2." He later made his official debut that same year with his first mini album and established himself as a singer-songwriter.
Beyond his career as a singer, he has also connected with the public through various entertainment programs, including SBS's "Law of the Jungle," Channel S's "Love Goes Straight," and tvN's "Will They Eat When Delivered?"
Meanwhile, Jeong Sewoon is expected to return to his fans and resume his activities after completing his military service.
